Hurley's

A few weeks ago we decided to check out Hurley's, the place that took over the Bridlewood Broadways. When we walked in, it was very crowded and we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table among a crowd of hungry breakfast-goers and crying babies. This was pretty typical of Broadways because it was a popular spot. The staff seemed to be the same and the decore had changed slightly.

We were seated at a table for 6 and a high chair was brought for Toast Girl as Toast boy sat in his car seat on the table. We all ordered coffees and a milk for Toast girl.

The menu had shrunk dramatically. There was no more Mama Dina's with fruit or any really exciting options to chose, so we all went for a 2 egg breakfast and Toast Girl settled for regular pancakes.

The waiter brought coffee several times and was pretty good. Toast Girl's milk came in a plastic cup with a lid.

The food seemed the same but the homefries were particularly mushy on this day. It seems like the same recipe, though.

Everything was ok, minus the homefries. I guess I was expecting more because restaurants typically aim to impress after changing ownership or re-opening, but it seemed like the same old Broadways.

There is a change table in the handicapped washroom. It is not very clean, so make sure you have a change pad.

We have pictures somewhere. I still need to upload them.
